“Survivor” Season 47 frustrates viewers as one finalist repeatedly shows signs of naivety, sparking debates about this contestant’s gameplay and strategy.

“Survivor” Season 47’s two-part finale began with high-stakes drama as six contestants fought to secure a spot in the top four. The episode, titled “Bob and Weave,” aired Wednesday and quickly sparked debates among fans over the gameplay strategies of the remaining players.

The action kicked off with the first immunity challenge, where Genevieve Mushaluk claimed her first victory after tackling a water-based obstacle course and solving a puzzle.

Along with immunity, Mushaluk earned a meal reward and selected Sue Smey and Teeny Chirichillo to join her, hoping to solidify alliances while targeting Rachel LaMont, whom she perceived as the biggest threat.

LaMont, however, turned the tables. At the tribal council, she used a hidden immunity idol to protect herself and deployed a block-a-vote advantage to neutralize Sam Phalen’s vote. These moves blindsided Andy Rueda and sent him home as the first elimination of the night.

The remaining five players – Mushaluk, LaMont, Phalen, Smey, and Chirichillo — faced off in a second immunity challenge that tested their balance and focus. LaMont once again dominated, winning her third individual immunity of the season. With LaMont safe, the group debated whether to target Mushaluk or Phalen.

Cautious of Mushaluk possibly possessing an idol, the players split their votes. When no idol surfaced, the majority voted out Mushaluk sending her to the jury.

While gameplay kept tensions high, fan reactions online often focused on Chirichillo’s performance, particularly during tribal councils. “Why does Teeny think it’s a good idea to admit in front of the jury that she’s been so clueless lately??” a viewer questioned.

Other viewers expressed dissatisfaction with the overall cast. “This is hands down the worst season of survivor [sic] I’ve seen in a long time. In terms of the people who are left,” another commented. Another quipped“can teeny and sue get voted off next 🙄 [sic].”

More viewers shared their reactions to Chirichillo’s gameplay, with many highlighting her lack of strategic awareness. Some felt she repeatedly fell for deceptive moves by other contestants and struggled to follow key plans. Others labeled her “clueless,” criticizing her inability to keep up with the game’s strategy.

Some also pointed out her emotional responses, suggesting her frustration stemmed from being outplayed by contestants like Rueda and Mushaluk in moments involving vote splits and fake idols.

There was also disappointment about the prospect of a final three featuring Smey, Phalen, and Chirichillo, which some felt would lack excitement compared to other outcomes. Despite the critiques, a few fans noted that the most likely winners were seen as likable and deserving.

Now, with the final four decided — LaMont, Phalen, Smey, and Chirichillo — the competition approaches its final stage. LaMont’s strong performance, marked by multiple immunity wins and strategic moves, positions her as a key contender.

The remaining players face the challenge of securing their own path to victory. The season concludes next week when the jury will vote to decide who claims the $1 million prize.
